Advocate and lobby for better laws relating to animals and harmonise and update national animal welfare legislation

Conduct education and training at various levels to improve awareness and animal welfare practices with the goal of equipping relevant persons to achieve change
Building Skills for Impact
Build capacity of persons and organisations undertaking work in the field of animal welfare and environmental stewardship
Executing Advisory Policies
Implement the policies and decisions taken by the Advisory Committee insofar as these may be applicable to CAAWO and as approved by the board
OUR STORY
A group of enthusiastic and passionate individuals came together to realise a dream of teaming up and working towards a common goal of alleviating the pain and suffering of animals on the African continent. Several meetings were held in Cape Town and Johannesburg to chart the way forward and eventually in 2018 CAAWO was registered in South Africa.
