5th Project Steering Committee Meeting: Conserving Aquatic Biodiversity in the African Blue Economy
Advancing Aquatic Biodiversity Conservation in Africa
The 5th Project Steering Committee Meeting on Conserving Aquatic Biodiversity in the African Blue Economy will take place virtually on 3 November 2026.
The meeting forms part of AU-IBAR’s ongoing work to support the sustainable use and conservation of aquatic biodiversity and ecosystems across Africa.
The project is aligned with the African Union’s Blue Economy priorities and addresses the policy, regulatory and institutional environment required to support sustainable aquatic-resource management.
According to AU-IBAR, previous technical and steering committee meetings have provided guidance for project implementation and helped ensure alignment with related initiatives. The November meeting will provide an opportunity to review project milestones and seek further strategic and policy direction from the Project Steering Committee.
The official AU-IBAR listing confirms that the meeting will be held online on 3 November 2026.
Registration: No public registration link is currently listed. The meeting appears to be a project steering committee activity rather than a general public conference.
