DESCRIPTION:Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Veterinary Education\nThe 2nd VETEd Africa Congress will take place in Rabat\, Morocco\, from 19–21 November 2026. \nHosted at IAV Hassan II\, the Congress will bring together veterinary educators\, academics\, researchers\, professionals\, students and partners to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in veterinary education. \nUnder the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Veterinary Education: Application and Impact\,” the Congress will examine how AI can contribute to veterinary education and strengthen animal-health systems. \nThe programme also addresses areas including One Health\, antimicrobial resistance\, transboundary diseases and emerging technologies\, making the Congress particularly relevant to the future development of veterinary education and professional capacity across Africa. \nRegistration\nRegistration is available through the official VETEd Africa website. Published fees include early registration rates for academics and university participants\, private-sector professionals\, and Master’s and PhD students. The website states that registration before 20 September 2026 attracts the early registration rates.

DESCRIPTION:Preparing Africa’s Priorities for 2027\nDecember 2026 will provide an important preparation period for African stakeholders ahead of the 2027 WOAH General Session and the WOAH Regional Commission conference. \nRather than being a single fixed-date conference\, this activity is intended to support Africa-specific consultation\, preparation and coordination ahead of major WOAH engagements in 2027. \nThe uploaded ICFAW activity plan identifies December as the appropriate period for developing an Africa-focused preparation process\, including consultation and a briefing package for the December ICFAW meeting and preparation for future side events or exhibition activities. \nThe WOAH Africa calendar currently confirms that the 27th Conference of the WOAH Regional Commission for Africa is scheduled for 22–26 February 2027 in Harare\, Zimbabwe. \nDecember therefore offers an opportunity for African animal-health and animal-welfare stakeholders to consolidate priorities\, evidence and messages ahead of the 2027 regional and global WOAH processes. \nRegistration: No registration link is currently available because the December activity is identified as a preparation and consultation period rather than a single public event. \nDate: To be agreed
