DESCRIPTION:Opportunity for African Animal Health and Welfare Experts\n11 September 2026 is the deadline for nominations for experts seeking consideration for the next term of the WOAH Specialist Commissions. \nWOAH is establishing a list of experts from which members of its four Specialist Commissions will be elected for the 2027–2030 term. The commissions cover terrestrial animal health standards\, aquatic animal health standards\, scientific matters relating to animal diseases\, and biological standards. \nThe opportunity is particularly relevant to suitably qualified African experts in animal health\, animal welfare\, veterinary public health\, disease prevention and control\, aquatic and terrestrial animal health\, and related technical fields. \nWOAH states that candidates must have recognised expertise\, strong technical and practical experience\, English proficiency\, and the ability to secure endorsement from their WOAH Delegate and support from their employer. The call closes at midnight CET on 11 September 2026.
